I got the candle with a previous order, and frequently sniffed it over and over again. I think the overall sublabels of cedarwood and amber are misleading, BUT I really, really like this scent. I was looking for a cleaner masculine perfume with lavender that I could wear more often, almost as a signature scent. This one smells like a cozier version of Parfums de Marly Percival for a fraction of the price. On my skin when I spray, I mostly get the nutty and musky tonka bean, and then the lavender really takes over in a fresh and comforting way with oakmoss hints. This is more of an approachable white tea shirt and jeans book boyfriend type rather than a shadow daddy in my opinion, and my girl friend really likes it. It's lasted four hours so far, settling into a nice skin scent. I think I'm going to like this one for a while.
